This was our first installation of S-Press on a modern DF-P Plate-trol Double Facer.
The short Heating Section on this machine was running with a combination of shoes and rollers. These, along with the chain-trol system, were completely removed.
In their place, we installed our new hydraulic lift-rail system designed to give maximum and unrestricted access to the hotplates when the machine is stopped.
2800mm wide S-Press modules were positioned on the new lift-rail system. New blowers and a touch screen/PLC control system were also provided.
Provisional results include +30% higher speeds on heavy wall double-wall board, a lower glue application and better quality, flatter board.
